A social responsibility and an environmental sustainability initiative on the outskirts of Milan. This is the project promoted by LCA Studio Legale in collaboration with Blu Martesana, a network of agricultural enterprises aimed at pursuing sustainable development objectives, which will lead to the blooming of the LCA orchard on the outskirts of Milan.

Situated in a barycentric position from the main urban districts of Lombardy, the area is located in the eastern part of Milan, Trecella, countryside of Pozzuolo Martesana municipality. Within a plot of over 4,000 square metres, LCA undertakes to plant 260 trees of three different types: apricots, almonds and cherry trees.

The LCA orchard that will open on the outskirts of Milan combines both the aspects of solidarity and social responsibility that have always distinguished the firm’s activities: not only returning to the planet the resources we take from it and compensating for the CO2 emissions generated by our daily work, but also enhancing the value of a rural area just a stone’s throw from Milan.

The LCA orchard – says Giangiacomo Rocco di Torrepadula, partner of LCA and promoter of the project – is part of a much longer and more articulated journey that LCA has undertaken. The intent is to promote and foster a new culture of the world of work, which emphasizes innovation and sustainability as the main values of its actions and identifies the market in which we operate as a primary commodity to be protected, in a context of progressive integration between man and nature. What are the next steps? They are already planned and at an advanced stage of study, but it is still too early to reveal them!

The Moso farm, together with the Vimercati Sanseverino and Resta Pallavicino families, is a business that has been operating in Lombardy for several centuries. The network of Blu Martesana agricultural enterprises was born out of the need to consolidate a highly fragmented territory of Martesana districts, which over time, as the value of farming activity declined, was partly abandoned. Today, thanks to a different awareness of the value of the territory and its importance in terms of green space, Blu Martesana acts to combine the agricultural activity and the exploitation of the rural territory, through the replanting of tree essences typical for these places and the redevelopment of historic rural buildings that define its character.

“Blu Martesana and Moso farm have been created and have evolved thanks to the professional support of LCA Studio Legale” adds Uberto Resta Pallavicino, a partner of the project. “Among the various steps, the Moso farm has been transformed into a benefit company, and today – in a relationship of interdependence – LCA  Studio Legale, Moso farm and Blu Martesana are sharing their different skills to achieve a major step forward in evolution and sustainability within the world of work”.
